Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and television personality who gained fame during the 1990s after she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. In 1994 as Grant gained worldwide media attention due to the box office boom of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral Hurley accompanied him to the film's Los Angeles premiere in a plunging black Versace dress held together with gold safety pins that earned immediate media attention. Hurley's friendship to Estee Lauder is her most memorable professional experience. Her first modeling gig was at Estee Lauder, when she was 29 years old. She's been a model since the year 1995 to promote their cosmetics, and in particular perfumes like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her most well-known work is her part as Vanessa Kensington, in the popular spy-films International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley has been modeling and designing an eponymous beachwear line. Perry's first attempts at becoming a mainstream superstar were unsuccessful. Two labels signed her, but dismissed her prior to having released any music. Capitol Records, however, released Perry's Ur So Gay album in 2007 and it was greeted with moderate success with the track that was its title. "I Kissed" a Girl was a more assertive ode sexism accompanied by a hard edged electro-pop rhythm. The song caused controversy with some critics accusing it of promoting homosexual relationships, and some asserting that the explicit sexual scene was created to cater to male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl was an instant hit on Perry's of the same name in 2008. of the Boys in 2008, thanks to the combination of sexual enthusiasm and polished melodicism. With its bouncy sharp-tongued 2nd single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of that Perry composed herself, eventually saw the sales of over three million copies within the United States.
